Today I’m going to show you a haul that is based on items that I’ve received either for free, for very cheap, or through some sort of subscription system.
Walmart Beauty Box
I got the Walmart Beauty Box subscription for the first time this fall. They send you a box- it’s $5 per season, once a season.
I feel like the box that I got for the fall was a better of a deal than the winter box. For the fall box, I received a full-size Clinical Strength Secret Deodorant, which by itself it would be worth $5. Clinical Strength Secret is a little bit more expensive than their regular deodorant. The box also came with a Nicki Minaj Pink Friday perfume sample, a Youth Code Pore Vanisher single-use sample from L’oreal, and a full-size L’oreal Glossy Balm. I also received Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner and the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil For Hair African Macadamia Oil.
In the winter box, I got the Olay Fresh Effects Makeup Removers. They definitely wouldn’t work as a cleanser (makeup remover wipes aren’t meant to replace cleansers) but they do work at helping to get some of the makeup off before you wash your face. Still, I didn’t feel like they were that great at removing the makeup.
The box also included Loreal Oleotherapy Hair Expertise Sulfate-free System Shampoo and Conditioner in substantial sample travel sizes of 2 ounces. TSA regulations require all liquids to be contained under 3 ounces. My favorite product from the box was the full-size Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Maple Kiss by Maybelline Canada. They also sent Jergens BB Body Cream in the travel/sample size, and a Nivea Cocoa Butter sample with a coupon that will last until next year.
I used the SampleIt machine with a special code for free items on some of these next purchases, so all of these items were free. I must say, I LOVE this kiosk. It sort of feels like a grown up arcade game except instead of winning teddy bears, you get lipstick and lotion and nail polish and all sorts of beaty goodies.
I got Taylor Swift Wonderstruck and Enchanted Wonderstruck perfume samples, Britney Spears Fantasy Duo sample perfume, Beyonce Pulse perfume, Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Shampoo & Conditioner, John Frieda Conditioner, Cetaphil Body Wash & Moisturizer, L’oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Volume Filler. I’m looking forward to trying these. I actually got a few of them because I have very thin hair, as you can see, and this is supposed to help thicken and fill out my hair. So we’ll see how that works. I will definitely post a review on that.
I traveled in December and the hotel had a great-smelling high-quality pro-vitamin shampoo and nourishing conditioner by Barney Kenet, M.D Did I mention it smells really good?
So that’s my haul for you. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who watched my first video which now has over 6000 views! I’m definitely going to take in what you guys have shown me from just the amount of views and comments that you’ve left on that first video. I want you to know that I hear you and I will definitely be showing you more ways to have a beautiful and affordable life!
